About Joseph Esses

Joseph Esses is an Associate Attorney in the Corporate Department at Gordon Law Group.

Joseph has experience helping companies tailor their legal strategy to their specific business model. He’s assisted businesses in drafting various agreements related to complex transactions, sponsorships, technology licensing, intellectual property, employment, and other various contracts.

Joseph received his bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of Nebraska. While an undergrad, Joseph was able to study abroad and earn an International Business Certificate from the University of Oxford. He earned his Master of Business Administration with Honors from Northern Illinois University and Juris Doctorate from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law where his courses focused on technology and the law.

Before joining Gordon Law Group, Joseph worked within the in-house legal department for a venture capital-backed, unicorn sports and entertainment startup where he helped counsel a wide variety of stakeholders and business departments. He also interned in the corporate legal department of the United Nations Development Programme helping the UN agency stay compliant with legal developments across the globe.

Joseph is a member of the E-Sports Trade Association and the American Bar Association’s Forum on Entertainment and Sports Law.

In his free time, he loves exploring new places and keeping up with all things sports related, especially his beloved Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Chicago Bears.
